Richard O’Brien’s beloved cult classic musical is set to rock Storyhouse audiences this month. Don’t dream it – be it when The Rocky Horror Show arrives in Chester, bringing the biggest and most outrageous party in town to the Storyhouse stage.

Richard O’Brien’s smash-hit musical extravaganza comes to the Chester cultural centre from 30 June to 4 July 2026 as part of a national tour.

Tickets cost from £27.50 for Storyhouse Members.

Featuring an exceptional cast headed by Stephen Webb as Dr Frank-N-Furter, The Rocky Horror Show is bursting with energy and unforgettable fun.

Squeaky clean college sweethearts Brad and Janet are on the way to visit their old professor when their car breaks down in a raging thunderstorm. But when they call at the nearby spooky mansion to ask for help, they are instead plunged into an adventure they will never forget – one filled with fun, frolics, fabulous frocks and frivolity.

Since Richard O’Brien’s musical homage to the B-movies of his youth was premiered in London in 1973 it has been seen by more than 35 million theatregoers worldwide and continues to captivate audiences with its flamboyant characters, wild humour, infectious energy and a brilliant soundtrack of songs including Dammit Janet, Sweet Transvestite and – of course – the show-stopping Time Warp.

In 1975 it was turned into a cult film starring Richard O’Brien himself as Riff Raff and Warrington-born Tim Curry as Frank.

Joining Stephen Webb in this acclaimed UK touring production are Motherland’s Jackie Clune as the Narrator, James Bisp as Brad and Haley Flaherty as Janet. Riff Raff is played by Ryan Carter-Wilson, Magenta/Usherette by Laura Bird, Columbia by Daisy Steere, Rocky by Morgan Jackson and Eddie/Dr Scott by Edward Bullingham.

Completing the cast are Phantoms Jesse Chidera, Nathan Zach Johnson, Tyla Dee Nurden and Bethany Amber Perrins, with on-stage swing/dance captain David Peter-Brown and on-stage swing/assistant dance captain Lucy Aiston.

The Rocky Horror Show is directed by Christopher Luscombe, with design by Hugh Durrant, costumes by Sue Blaine and choreography by Nathan M Wright. Lighting design is by Nick Richings and sound design by Gareth Owen.

The Rocky Horror Show plays at Storyhouse, chester Tuesday 30 June – Saturday 4 July 2026. Tickets are available here.
