Christmas has a new home – and it’s bigger, brighter and more magical than ever at the New Brighton Floral Pavilion.

The North West’s No.1 pantomime returns to New Brighton this festive season with a spectacular new production of Aladdin – and leading the charge is a name audiences simply can’t get enough of. The unstoppable comic whirlwind Sean Jones is back for his seventh sensational year, stepping into the gloriously bonkers shoes of Wishee Washee – and bringing with him the kind of energy, laughter and heart that turns a festive night out into a lifelong family tradition.

Sean said: “How ya doing gang? I’m back, baby! Returning for my seventh (or is it 6/7!) panto in a row at the Floral Pavilion, and I’m beyond excited to play Wishee Washee – definitely one of my all-time favourites.

“Mischief, mayhem and madcap fun are on the way, all set inside Twankey’s Laundry – which means I can finally get my washing done at the theatre instead of traipsing to Liscard laundrette! I can’t wait to see you all – it’s going to be pure magic.”

A true Floral favourite, Sean’s razor-sharp wit, impeccable timing and boundless warmth have made him an essential part of Christmas for thousands of families – the kind of performer audiences return for year after year. His unique ability to light up the stage, spark laughter across every generation, and create those unforgettable “you had to be there” moments has cemented his place at the very heart of the Floral Pavilion panto experience.

Pauline Campbell, Venue Manager at the Floral Pavilion, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Sean back to the Floral Pavilion panto for an incredible seventh year. Our audiences adore him – his comic energy, his warmth, and the joy he brings to the stage. It simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas without him.”

This year, the Floral Pavilion once again joins forces with the acclaimed UK Productions Ltd – one of the UK’s leading and most respected pantomime producers, renowned for delivering shows of exceptional quality across the country. Known for their West End-level production values and spectacular storytelling, UK Productions bring an ambition and artistry that transform panto into a truly immersive theatrical experience. Together, they promise a production that’s bigger, bolder and more breathtaking than ever before – combining stunning set design, dazzling costumes, state-of-the-art lighting, jaw-dropping special effects and show-stopping musical numbers. The result is a visually spectacular, laugh-out-loud festive event that doesn’t just meet expectations, but completely redefines them – raising the bar once again for what audiences can experience at Christmas.

Martin Dodd, Producer for UK Productions added: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Aladdin to the Floral Pavilion once again, and this year’s production is set to be our most ambitious yet. Audiences can expect a truly magical experience – packed with stunning visuals, extraordinary costumes, breathtaking effects and, of course, plenty of laughter. It’s a show designed to bring families together, create lasting memories, and leave everyone feeling the joy and wonder of Christmas.”

“And leading that magic is a performer who has become synonymous with Christmas at the Floral Pavilion. Sean Jones’ return as Wishee Washee is more than just a casting announcement – it’s a guarantee of huge laughs, electric energy and the kind of connection with audiences that keeps families coming back year after year. His announcement marks the start of the festive countdown, as excitement builds for a show that promises to be bigger, brighter and more unmissable than ever before.”

From the moment the curtain rises, audiences will be swept into a world of laughter, wonder and pure festive joy. Aladdin is the kind of panto where the whole theatre comes alive – packed with big-hearted comedy, unforgettable characters and those magical moments that have children wide-eyed and adults laughing just as loudly. It’s an experience designed to be shared, remembered and talked about long after Christmas has passed.

Packed with huge laughs, show-stopping dance numbers and that unmistakable panto sparkle, this is more than just a show – it’s a full-scale festive event for the whole family.

Whether it’s your first visit or part of your annual Christmas tradition, the Floral Pavilion pantomime is where memories are made, traditions begin, and generations come together.

Aladdin plays at Floral Pavilion Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. Tickets are available here.
