… a BRAND NEW stand-up and cooking show by comedian George Eg

MORE INSTRUCTION, MORE INVENTION and MORE INGREDIENTS from the comedian who brought you sell out shows ‘Anarchist Cook’ and ‘DIY Chef’
“There is a mischievousness about Egg’s humour that is deeply lovable”

George Egg is a stand-up comedian who cooks food, surprisingly good food, live on stage using unconventional methods and unexpected equipment. He makes you laugh too.

Following on from his first two shows ‘Anarchist Cook’ and ‘DIY Chef’, this year sees George Egg return with a BRAND NEW show about making food on the move. It’s time for trains, planes and automob-meals.

During an evening of live cooking and laugh-out-loud comedy George demonstrates how to cook with an engine, get the most out of the car battery and even utilise the air-conditioning system. He’ll demonstrate ways to procure items from the train snack trolley, beat the rip-off prices at the airport and show how to turn unexpected roadworks into a picnic. It’s cheeky, anarchic and creative, a multi sensory show rich in humour and sprinkled with handy hacks. Real plates of gourmet food cooked live in the most unconventional ways and with the opportunity to taste the results at the end, providing you can stop laughing.

“A culinary Bill Bailey, with chopping boards instead of keyboards. It is a multi-sensory delight to spend an hour with him”
     The Scotsman

Movable Feast was a Sell Out at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Brighton Festival Fringe 2019 where it enjoyed a glut of 5 and 4 star rave reviews.

His last two shows, Anarchist Cook and DIY Chef were also sell-outs. He has won the Spirit Of The Fringe Award and has toured both shows extensively throughout the UK as well as abroad at festivals in New Zealand, Estonia, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland and Holland. Sell out runs at the Soho Theatre and numerous festivals, arts centres and theatres lead to appearances cooking on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Loose Ends’ and Radio 4 Extra’s ‘The Comedy Club’. He has also presented an episode of BBC Radio 4’s ’The Food Programme’. On television George has appeared on ‘Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice’ (Channel 4) and ’This Morning’ (ITV).

“This is a triumph of out-of-the-box thinking – and tastes lovely too”
