Meet Phoebe: a journalist and the queen of lists. On her fridge, her mirror, all over her hands and…everywhere. One day a pink, fluffy monster appears under her duvet. Why then is she suddenly listing all the ways she might die?

Meet Phoebe: a journalist and the queen of lists. On her fridge, her mirror, all over her hands  and…everywhere. One day a pink, fluffy monster appears under her duvet. Why then is she suddenly  listing all the ways she might die?

Speaking on the show, Eleanor says “It’s certainly a show for those who write something on a to do  list simply for the satisfaction of getting to tick it off immediately. After the initial success of the fringe  I’ve extended it into a 60 minute show and done lots of edits- it’s back and better than ever!”

Eleanor May Blackburn is a disabled, neurodivergent, queer, working-class actor/writer/poet/theatre maker from Sheffield. Eleanor is a writer of the Sheffield Theatres Bank Cohort 2023 and toured her  first two solo shows Subdural Hematoma and Does My Fanny Look Big in This? Up and down the  country after premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe.

“I’m writing this for all the neurodivergent list makers out there- you are NORMAL, but omg does it  feel like there’s a little list monster sleeping in your bed sometimes.”

Created and performed by Eleanor May Blackburn Directed by Emily Browning  Dramaturgical Support by Grace Gummer Visual Art by Ciara Sims  Tech by Jack Price/Jasmine Clarke

“Blackburn has a clear and engaging delivery style” – London Theatre 1

“The naked honesty of Eleanor’s performance makes her instantly warm, open, and approachable.”  – Fairy Powered Productions

A  Sudden, Disturbing To Do List plays at Alphabetti Theatre, Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th June 2026 Newcastle. Tickets are available here.
