Celebrate a summer night of musicals under the open sky with ‘Theatre at The Lake’ at Shibden Park in Yorkshire
Musical aficionados can soon experience a night of soaring ballads and show-stopping anthems under the open sky, as Yorkshire’s Shibden Park gets set to host the first ‘Theatre at the Lake: Summer Night of Musicals’.
Taking place on Thursday 13th August and celebrating the magic of the West End, the evening will feature dazzling performances from award-winning stars of the stage, produced by acclaimed musical director Matthew J Loughran (Elf, Evita, Wicked, Les Misérables).
Performers include Yorkshire-born talent, Laura Pick (Elphaba, Wicked), from Wakefield, and Halifax’s own Olivier Award-nominated stage and screen artist, Emma Williams (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Half a Sixpence). Also taking to the stage are West End favourites Ben Forster (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera) and Joel Montague (Billy Elliot, Waitress).

‘Theatre at The Lake’ is part of ‘Stage at the Lake’ (13th – 16th August); a new four-day outdoor festival which celebrates 100 years of Shibden Park. The new open-air festival brings together classical music, comedy, musical theatre, brass bands, interactive family performance and an imaginative community garden trail.
Theatre at the Lake: Summer Night of Musicals plays at Shibden Hall and Park Thursday 13th August. Tickets are available here.
