Track Dogs, the genre-defying Folk/Americana/Roots/Latino quartet, have this week released their new single and video, “Ruby, Are You Mad at Your Man”. The song serves as the final preview ahead of their forthcoming double album, Tracks Laid, Tracks Covered, scheduled for release April 25th. Watch / listen to the single here.

““Ruby, Are You Mad at Your Man?” was written by Cousin Emmy, and has been a recurring and significant artefact of Americana music. “Ruby” was consecrated into the bluegrass canon by the Ohio-based Osborne Brothers, made famous by Buck Owens, was the door opener for 7-year-old Ricky Skaggs with Flatt and Scruggs, a calling card for Rhiannon Giddens and a lightning rod for the voice of Ohioan Robbie K. Jones.” – Garrett Wall (Track Dogs – vocals, guitar)

The video, shot in true Track Dogs fashion, features a look into what to expect from their energetic live shows, watch it here.

The single follows on from “Amor de Mi Vida” and “Beauty in the Mud”, marking the beginning of an exciting year for Track Dogs, who will be celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2026: “We celebrate 20 years together in 2026 and we thought we’d get the party started early, why not!? So, we’ve compiled our first 6 albums as Track Dogs into this collection, based mainly on the songs we regularly play live. Some of the tracks are appearing in album format for the first time, such as “Brandy” and “Easy”, which were previously released on EPs. We’ve also added an LP’s worth of new recordings, brand new tunes as well as live favourites such as “Ruby”, “This Old Heart” and “All of the Above”. We look forward to seeing you all on the road somewhere, in the meantime we hope you enjoy Tracks Laid, Tracks Covered.”

Track Dogs—Garrett Wall (vocals, guitar), Dave Mooney (bass), Howard Brown (trumpet), and Robbie K. Jones (percussion)—have spent the past 18 years crafting a sound that blends Americana, bluegrass, Latino rhythms, folk, and blues. Known for their innovative approach to music, the band has built a strong reputation both in Spain and internationally, having played major festivals such as Glastonbury, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, and The Gate to Southwell.

The band tours to Cast in Doncaster on Thursday 08 May. Book tickets at castindoncaster.com.
