The Night of the Werewolves LIVE returns

Today, award-winning Hull-based theatre company Silent Uproar announces the return of The Night of The Werewolves Live, the previously sold-out immersive dining experience where audiences try to uncover who among their fellow diners is secretly a bloodthirsty werewolf. Confirming a full year of monthly shows running from Friday 22 May through to January 2027, the news arrives with details of a partnership with leading Yorkshire based property developer Wykeland.  

Set in a cursed 16th-century village where werewolves conceal themselves among the innocent, The Night of the Werewolves Live combines theatre, interactive gameplay, and live performance in a laugh-out-loud theatrical experience unlike any other. Inspired by the BBC’s The Traitors and games such as Werewolves and Mafia, audiences must collaborate, or deceive one another, to expose the werewolves before they claim their next victim. Each performance is distinct, shaped entirely by the choices and alliances of its audience. 

Featuring writing by critically acclaimed playwright Olivia Hirst, whose sharp and distinctive voice gives the show its wit and menace in equal measure, the production is directed by Alex Mitchell, with the world of the show brought vividly to life through the detailed realist visual design of Ian Hinley. Crafting the show’s sonic landscape is producer and composer Eddi Pickard, whose work spans international stages and productions. 

Speaking on the return of The Night of the Werewolves LIVE and Silent Uproar’s partnership with Wykeland, Silent Uproar’s Artistic Director and CEO Alex Mitchell, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Wykeland to bring The Night of the Werewolves to the Fruit Market. It’s something we’ve never been able to do before, offering our communities a regular performance for the rest of the year alongside our other productions. We work at Silent Uproar as a theatre company without walls, a touring company that operates without a building or space, and we are truly appreciative to have this little home to showcase Olivia Hirst’s words, Ian Hinley’s beautiful design, and Eddi Pickard’s great sound design for the rest of the year.

As a company rooted in queer storytelling and creating welcoming, inclusive spaces, we feel very lucky to be able to take up space on Humber Street across 2026, and we can’t wait for audiences to gather, play, and connect in the heart of the Fruit Market.”

The programme will be hosted at Wykeland’s SPACE pop-up venue in Hull’s historical Fruit Market on Pier Street, marking a significant development for the production and the independent theatre company, transitioning from a single sell-out run in 2024 to an established, recurring programme at the centre of Hull’s cultural offer. For Silent Uproar, a project-funded company, the partnership enables a sustained programme of work, building consistent audiences, and deepening the company’s presence throughout the city.

The Night of the Werewolves LIVE will take place at Wykeland’s SPACE pop-up venue, Pier Street across the following date. The majority of performances are for audiences aged 18 and over with a selection of family friendly dates available throughout the programme, suitable for younger audiences.
