Following the success of their fairytale trilogy – Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin and Snow White – balletLORENT returns with a magical new production for ages 5+.

This fresh take on the classic tale combines imaginative visual storytelling with words by former poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

Featuring nine professional dancers alongside members of balletLORENT’s 7-12 Youth Academy, Hansel & Gretel and the Witch is full of energy, wonder, and theatrical delight.

From a sugar glass house in the woods, to an “all you can eat” merry go round, a regenerating witch and a supporting cast of giant chickens, expect the unexpected as balletLORENT’s creative team add spellbinding new flourishes to this favourite fairytale.

Hansel & Gretel and the Witch plays at Northern Stage 29 October–1 November 2026. Tickets are available here.
